The Functional Safety Committee provides expert guidance and oversight regarding safety-critical development within the Eclipse SDV project ecosystem. It defines the necessary governance, rigor, and consistency required to build safety-critical software in alignment with Eclipse Foundation values. The committee evaluates project safety matters, advises the EMO on the adoption of Functional Safety Frameworks, and supports the Steering Committee on project assessments and certifications. By facilitating collaboration across projects, working groups, and the EMO, the committee promotes ecosystem best practices and ensures absolute confidence in all generated Functional Safety Artefacts.
