Eleven of Europe’s most influential automotive companies signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in June 2025 that signals a united commitment to open source collaboration for the software-defined vehicle (SDV). In the first instance, efforts are centered around the Eclipse S-CORE project.
The Eclipse SDV Working Group connects 50+ OEMs, tier 1s, and tech leaders, driving 25+ projects, shaping the future, and setting new benchmarks for safety-certifiable open source in automotive software.
