Call for Contributions: Shape Eclipse S-CORE v1.0

The 이클립스 S-CORE architecture community is making significant strides towards the upcoming first major release of the integration project. To make the release a success, the inviting contributors and maintainers to help define key building blocks of the S-CORE stack for software-defined vehicles.

Contributions are currently sought in the following areas:

The community is looking for implementation concepts, existing open source components, and new module proposals aligned with the S-CORE stack objectives.

How to contribute to Eclipse S-CORE v1.0

Interested contributors are invited to submit their proposals through the defined contribution process: [Contribution Requests] Identify maintainer for the 1.0 (1st round – 4th – 6th Nov 2025) · Issue #1571 · eclipse-score/score 

Selected contributions will be presented and discussed at the upcoming Architecture Community Workshop in April, which will take place either in person or online.

Key dates

  • Submission deadline: April 4, 2026
  • Workshop format decision: April 6, 2026

This is an opportunity to actively contribute to and maintain a consistent, open software stack for software-defined vehicles.

Previously, in late 2025, the Eclipse S-CORE community released Eclipse S-CORE v0.5 alpha and v0.5 beta, in February 2026, a third milestone, v0.6, was achieved. All release notes are available on the project’s GitHub page.
