The Eclipse SDV community has a new Special Interest Group (SIG), this time with a geographical focus: On 28 October, Bharat Samanvaya for SDV held its inaugural meeting with more than 30 participants, partly on site, and partly remotely.
The new SIG’s goal is to accelerate the adoption of open source technologies for SDVs in the Indian market. It brings together automotive OEMs, suppliers, technology providers, academic institutions, startups, and open source contributors to collaborate on open source solutions.
At the inaugural meeting, Kapil Sirohi, Sales Director at ETAS Automotive India, was elected as chair of the SIG. The meeting notes can be found here.
The idea of forming a dedicated sub-community to address the needs of the Indian automotive market arose during the first Eclipse SDV Community Meetup in June this year.
